I was surfing the web and found an awesome deal on Eagle Creek Backpacks and on an impulse buy purchased this bag http://www.eaglecreek.com/10045.html , does anyone know anything about this bag?

I am going on a 4 week trip. Please let me know what you think, so I can cancel order before they ship it out.

Thanks,

Jaimie

btw TRAVELPUNK it says you save 15% on bags when you click here for ebags..I clicked the link and bought a bag and didn't get any discount. Whats up with that??

Personally I would never buy a backpack online. I think you need to go into a store to touch and feel the materials and structure and to make sure it's comfortable on.

Anyway it seems to be okay. I'm sure you'll be fine and be able to last if your only going for 4 weeks.

I have an Eagle Creek, which one I could not tell you, they change the names every year, but its the biggest one they make. And my opinion on Eagle Creek: you will never be dissapointed in the design, quality or feel of an Eagle Creek pack. The one thing I might forsee you regretting is maybe the size of that pack. It all depends on how long you will be going for and how much you pack. If youre going on a 2,000$ and up euro trip never fret over an exra 100 dollars to buy the right pack that will last you for many years and many more trips. Im about to embark on my second trip with my pack and my third to follow three months after, my 250 dollar pack doesnt seem so expensive anymore... But with the bag you got, one suggestion: Pack Light!!! You can never got wrong packing light with lots of reusables like skirts and such. Let me know if you have anymore Eagle Creek questions, I love them! -Kyle

I didnt see it was a 4 week trip... I think that pack will be fine for 4 weeks, just take all the packing light tips to heart and like I said, you can never go wrong packing something that you can wear a couple times without washing, and if all else fails, you could do worse things that just finding a local laundromat and mixing with the locals for a couple hours... dont worry, your back will thank you for buying that sized pack... -Kyle
