Default new pack ideas?

Im just trying to get an idea of the packs you guys and gals are useing. Im looking to downgrade in size from the pack I have now. I cant believe how stressed looking for pack is for me. Ive been looking for a new one now for about 2 months. But I cant find anything comfortable in the 75-80L packs.

I currently have a Kifaru military pack that is 123L with 2 1050L external pouches and a few other pouches. In other words this pack is HUGE... Ive used this on my last backpacking trip through Europe. It is very comfortable and very easy to carry 80-90LBS for very long periods of time. The problem I have is that its huge... and bothersome to deal with when not useing it. For me that enough to downgrade...

If anyone has any suggestions....

thanks

My Eagle Creek bag is pretty comfy. It is now discontinued: the transcontinental journey. They have a Grand Voyage or something similar for a bit more and it is something like 90L instead of 85.

Mine is a Deuter Aircontact 60+10 female fit. I find it comfortable and convenient, with its openings on both sides (top and bottom).

When I was looking for my backpack, I remember the salesclerk adjusted all the settings to everything I was trying. Did you have someone helping you with them ?

The pack I used to travel Europe and South America is a 65L Black Wolf pack. I wouldn't recommend Black Wolf packs, they aren't the best quality or the most comfortable things, but 65L was a great size.

Perhaps it is the method of packing you are using. Are you trying things like vacuum sealed bags (the type that you roll up to get the air out)? I see a lot of backpackers where I live in NYC, but they always seems to be carrying too much with them, to be honest.
