Default Will this work?

Hey Punks,

Does anybody know if this is a smart choice for a 2 month trip? I know it doesn't have the straps, but I'm short and I've been reading a lot that I need a backpack short enough so that my head doesn't hit it.

Also, will I be able to get by comofortably, if I budget for $60 a day ( to eat, find a place to sleep and, drink...alcohol )

I feel so overwhelmed by everything. Time is going so quickly!

Thanks again!

Where are you going? 60 bucks goes a long way in some areas of the world and puts you in survival mode in others.

The bag will probably be okay if you pack light

Yeah, $60 can go fast in a lot of cities. Where are you headed? If you're doing the hostel thing, even if you don't book them ahead of time, at least check them out online to get a sense of the prices.

And drinking is where I would always ruin my budget. If its real important for you to get nice and tuned up, I would buy a bottle from a store before going out, pound some of that in your room, then hit the bars/pubs/clubs. Much cheaper this way - just like anywhere else.

Good luck.

My pack is sized to carry-on too - and I love it. Makes travelling so much easier...and you don't have to worry about losing your luggage.

Most people do use far larger packs - but I have no idea why they need them. I guess they just bring a hella lot more stuff than I do.

As far as $60/day - that should be enough as hostels are generally $15-$20/day. Then you might need $20 for food and entrance fees. And another $20 should cover transport. You might need more if you plan to tour or consume more aggressively, though.

The pack doesn't look very comfortable to me... but as long as you try it on and it works for you...
