At 55 linear inches, it goes over most airlines' carry on size restriction by about 5 inches...

You're usually looking at 49-51 total inches for cabin baggage.

Typically, unless you have an anal check-in agent, you can get away with a handful of inches over. Unfortunately, everyone takes advantage of this, and you wind up with a bunch of people putting just about anything with wheels in the overhead and hogging all the space. *GRRRR* Anyway, before I go off on a rant...

Yeah, as far as specs and size and price go, it looks pretty good. Just remember, though, that if you're taking a puddle jumper or a 737 with smaller overhead compartments, you may end up having to check it anyway.

Yeah I don't think I'll need 3100 ci anyway, and hopefully I can strap it down to fit carry-on standards.
