new zealand would be the main place for bungee jumping - a lot of very experienced companies and really big jumps. also the first bungee jump site in the world is still running there (i worded that really strangely... anyway) i've never been skydiving but there are a few operators around sydney and i know there's one in wollongong because my friend works for them! But I think queenstown in New zealand is the place to go - it's like the adventure capital

i did taupo bungy (NZ) and managed to get like a $60 jump by going before 11am or something so if cost is an issue that might help and its a pretty cool jump, but the A J Hackett one in queenstown is bigger and supposed to be amazing. My mum did a tandem jump over glenorchy (really beautiful, just out of queenstown) that she really recommends, hit me up if u have ne NZ questions

I did my skydive at Lake Wanaka in New Zealand (south island). I've never seen anything so beautiful. Hang on, lemme see if I can dig out my photos...
Hmm, I think I left my DVD at my parents house.
Anyway, if you do it in NZ, I'd really recommend you do it in the south island, the scenery is waaaay more beautiful.

I did it with Taupo Tandem Skydive. Apparently it's the cheapest place in the world to do a skydive. That's what I was told anyways! Twas beautiful!

Hi amanderae, there are tonnes of places you can skydive in NZ.
Personally i went for Taupo - cheapest and most of the people i met were doing it there so it felt easier somehow !?
Also, i met up with my sister in the South Island so the plan was to do another in Queenstown in support of her doing her first skydive. Unfortunately it was cancelled and we ended up doing it on our last day in NZ in Wellington with a rotten hangover
It was fantastic but depending how long your spending in NZ then i wouldnt leave it til the last few days in case theres bad weather. Youl be gutted if you miss out!
Also, depending on whether your budget allows, its normally double the price to have it filmed. I wasnt travelling for too long it was more of a 5 week holiday so i stuck it on the credit card. In Taupo it was the same person you jumped with who filmed at arms length so i never bothered with my first, in Wellingon they had someone else jump with you to film it and the results were really good. Guess it depends on you though, it goes so fast when you actually do it so i just wanted something to look back at
Possibly the best thing ive ever done though so go for it, and enjoy !!

I had mine filmed by another person who jumped alongside me. Unfortunately I was a wee bit nervous and didn't keep my head back, so on the film all you can really see is me with my head down, and occasionally daring to look up! Even with the DVD though, it was only about £80, which I didn't think was too bad really!

Hey there
As for the bungee well you have a few options
theres the Taupo bungy and thats probably the most beautiful bungy in NZ its sooooo fookin nice!!!
There is Rotorua and if you are ever to not do a bungy its this one skip it cause its serious fugly
Also keep in mind that there are heaps of them all along the way from north to south varrying heights and prices Im just tellin you the ones I really remeberd!
Then Queenstown has the Thrillogy which you can do or do any one by itself
1. Kaurau bridge the first site in the world, its kinda cool to say you did it
2. The city bungy its not very high like 30 meters and you have a rope straped around your waist but its cool cause you jump out over the city, do it at night for a good buzz
3 the bug daddy of them all The Nevis 142 meters of cable car terror. Serious buzz this one I hear Im to chicken shit to do it. 8 second freefall. Rock on!!
As for skydiving, I hear Taupo kicks ass casue yeah its cheapest the view is unreal and the group is just a hard rocking bunch that run the place so I think that you got all you want right there. Price is key cause most of the jumps are gonna be around 400 for a 15000 ft you really wanna scout those out!
