Hey, I was told by someone to go to a town a little ways out of Sydney, called Seventeen Seventy, and to stay at a place called cool bananas. Anyone ever been there? This guy told me it was crazy for parties but when I tried looking stuff up on it, I got the impression that it was a small, quiet town, good for relaxing. If this is the case, I won't go. Anyone know anything about it? Thanks

Hmmm. Seems to me your friend was possibly drunk when they said 1770 was just outside Sydney...because it's in Queensland. Anyway, it's a super cute little town, and totally worth visiting. Here's a link to the Cool Bananas - They have info for you.

Yeah I've been to 1770 and stayed at cool bananas. It's a well run hostel. Once a week they have face mask night where one of the locals comes around and gives you mud masks for free. So everyone is cooking dinner with a mask on their face..muhaha..They have a campfire in the courtyard and everyone hangs around there and plays the guitar. Very chill. Not much happening in the town itself except awesome sunsets and a chilled lifestyle. Thumbs up!!
