Getting from OZ to SE Asia
 

How can I do this? Does anyone with experience know about what a flight costs? I don't have (or really care) about hitting any specific locations, just thinking of seeing a little Australia before heading up; and I want to reach Thailand & Cambodia for sure. What would be the cheapest and/or safest way to go?

There are a couple of budget airlines in Australia that fly to SEA, they are:

also airasia has some super cheap flights out to KL....from there you can go overland to thailand-or about $60 flight ;)
