Default Holy Shit! 2000 and a ticket later...

So I just got off the phone, and it is official...I bought my ticket for the move to Oz!

Here's the plan...

Leave Detroit 8/28
Chill in LA for a couple of days (have to visit the old neighboor)
Depart LA 8/30
Arrive in Sydney on 9/1

I am so happy and nervous all at the same time!

Now all I have to do is break it to my mother that I am definitely moving...being the baby of the fam, I don't think she will take it that well...

but yeah!!!:D

Congrats! How exciting I am sure you will love it there. I think you have posted before but I don't remember so my apologies-- what are you going to do there, work? Study? Travel? A little of everything?

Hopefully get a job. Ideally I want to stay there for 2 years to get residency. We will see how that goes.

I have posted about it before because this has been like a 4 month decision which finally ended in my emptying my savings account today. At least I have a little more time before I go so I can solicite myself for random change

Hardcore! Congrats on pulling the trigger...I hope it turns out to be a great experience. Have you been to OZ yet, or are you just completely randomly deciding to move there?

Good for you, that sounds like something I would do. Hope the transition flows well, and don't forget about us once you get there

Leaving Detroit? Are you from Michigan? I grew up in Holland, on the west side.

Sweet move, I'm thinking about doing something very similar to Denmark soon. It's a tough decision though, since I already have a job and car and girlfriend etc...

New (awesome) job, so the RTW trip will have to wait.

Same with us. About 10 months from selling house, dumping dogs off on grandma and hitting the road for an undetermined amount of time. 18 months min. with no real plans on returning to the states. Feel great now, bet tons I will be a nervous wreck the second our house goes up for sale. No worries though

I think it is Oz because of the way the aussies say Australia. But that is a good question!
