Due to getting a very cheap flight with Virgin blue I'm managing to fit in 8 days in NZ, I land in Christchurch, so any recommendations on what I can do?? :mf_gap:

After you've looked around Christchurch for a day, hop on a cheap flight to Queenstown and extreme sports your bollocks off... Jetboating, bungy jumping, canyon swinging, luging, and - oh yes - partying. It's sort of the Interlaken of the southern hemisphere, I guess, but it's fun. And the people are TOP NOTCH. And you have to get a burger at Fergburger. Best. Burger. EVER.

see if you can catch a ride/bus/train from christchurch over arthurs pass to too hokitika then down to franz josef,queenstown,duniden and back to christchurch. its all pretty sweet round that area
