i booked my flights to thailand today! :D

flying in and out of bangkok (nov1st-30th) i will be spending one month in thailand.

will $1600 (aussie dollars) be enough for one month for accomodation, travelling around, food, drinking and some shopping?

i plan on staying in guesthouses, hostels and bungalows on the beach.

at the moment my plan is to stay a couple of days in bangkok then head up north for about a week. i'd like to do an overnight trek. then head down south to the beachs. i want to go to the full moon party on the 26th. then spend a couple more days in bangkok before i fly home to do some shopping.

any suggestions of places i shouldnt miss? im not really interested in scuba diving but i would love to go snorkelling. i want to see some animals (esp elephants!) good places for shopping? meeting people and partying?

im 22/f travelling by myself.

1600...that's about 1390 dollars? I say you're set for a month, fo sho, assuming you already have your tickets. I've only been to Bangkok. I did spend a couple of days in Hat Yai and Songkhala in the south, which were alright but not super amazing, so I'll let other people give you the recommendations. have an awesome trip though!
