was going to be flying to sydney 2days ago with BA. when i got to the airport they asked if i was willing to give up my seat for $700, 5 star hotel, free taxis and free food. so i said YES!! just got a phone call of the ba supervisor and he has told me i can do it again tonight. so far i have made $2100 and eating the best food i have ever had. :cheers:

Igot a $150 voucher last time I traveled, but that was it. Well, I guess that's because it was just a connecting flight from Boston to NYC.

Actually this is something I've heard is a great idea on Thanksgiving weekend... business people will ALWAYS pay to get on a plane and the company will generally give you free tickets anywhere in the US to bump you... not as great as the BA deal but still handy.

hmmm...so basically booking a flight during thanksgiving/christmas, etc can now be seen as an INVESTMENT...not a splurge...AWESOME! So jealous right now..

its now came to an end tho. im in the airport ready for sydney. was good while it lasted, but i cant wait to get back to hostels again. meeting people in 5 star hotels aint that fun, the women i spoke to got pulled away by there rich husbands and the men talked about nothing but money. was good while it lasted tho. $2100 for doing bot all! hahaha.

i tryed for an upgrade on my flight seen as i had been so so so nice letting people have my seat, but it did not work. booooooo

oh. and i stole the beers form the mini bar. i will let BA pick up the tab. hehe

I agree on the five-star hotels. Sleeping in the nice beds with 38 pillows is great, but it gets kind of boring. The last time Lufthansa comped a room for me, I realized once I got home that I'd taken not only drinks- but the actual refrigerator key too!

it just gets better...... i got an upgrade, was able to sleep flat out for the whole flight. and got pissed on champers. :cheers:
