I'm considering the idea of studying abroad in Tokyo for the summer or possibly the spring semester. I was wondering if anyone has any suggestions or expirence. I've always wanted to go to Japan and I just recently had the thought why not go to school there. Is there alot of students that speak English in Japan? I'm interested in leanring Japanese, but I doubt that I could learn enough in the next year to communicate very well. I'm really excited about going somewhere so different from home (Orlando, FL) but I don't know if I'm prepared..

We lived in northern Japan for three years, and loved it. Can't help you out with specifics about Tokyo or studying there, since that wasn't our scene, but there are a couple of tpunks with similar experiences, so hang in there, you'll get some great intel in a little while!

My husband did go to school in Lithuania, and the experience of living and studying overseas was incredible, so if you get the chance, I would definitely say, DO IT!

U2Fan just finished a semester in Japan. If she doesn't write soon, you could PM her.
