Africa Wilderness with a capital W ! Paradise like landscapes, the Kilimandjaro and the Nile, huts and victorian architecture. Africa is a crossroads of civilizations, the land before time.

Hey, I was curious as to whether or not any1 has visited the South African Cape, near Cape town or King Williams Town? If so, what did you think?

Haven't been there yet, but that is one of the places on my "to go to" list. Probably won't happen for quite awhile though... hopefully not more than 10 years from now. If you go, you will have to let us all know what its like.

Some friends went there and said Cape Town was awesome. I read an Arthur Frommer's budget travel magazine a couple years ago about how you can go "standby" on safaris when you're there, and save tons of money.

It's on my list of places, too...

Hey berni, can you confirm that bit about last minute safaris going for dirt cheap in South Africa? Great to have someone from there on the Boards!
