Africa Wilderness with a capital W ! Paradise like landscapes, the Kilimandjaro and the Nile, huts and victorian architecture. Africa is a crossroads of civilizations, the land before time.

Hey all,
This upcoming may i am planning on doing the "world ticket." My first stop is Cape Town, South Africa. I plan on doing the bloukran's brigde bungy (largest in the world) and some great hikes around the area. Then some rafting on the Zambezi (sp?). i have like 3 or 4 weeks there and i want to do and see as much as possible. ive done some research on the internet, but thats not always trustworthy. i would rather hear whats good and what isnt from backpackers who have been there! so if any of you have ideas, i would much appreciate it!
My ticket has five stops, South Africa, England, Nepal, and Australia. So if there are any other ideas about what to do in those countries let me know!
Cheers!

Sounds awesome! Welcome to the boards and thanks for the opinion re NZ!

Wish I could help you out with your destinations but I haven't made it to any of those places yet besides England and haven't been much out of London except when I was really small!

I'm pretty sure I mentioned it elsewhere on the Boards, but I hear you can hook up with a safari in South Africa on a last-minute basis for real cheap. That they heavily discount the packages in the last few days before they're scheduled to leave. There was an article a couple years back in Arthur Frommer's Budget Travel magazine on it.

Also, for advice on Nepal, send a PM to Atchoum. She spent quite a bit of time there last year and she can give you the complete scoop...

Good luck, and let us know what you find (South Africa's been only list for awhile, too!).
